The top device that caught my attention from CES 2018 is Phyn Plus. This device is a result of research from the University of Washington, and this technology was acquired by Belkin and manufactured in partnership with Uponor. This is a single device connects to WiFi using Belkin’s Wemo and Linksys platforms and once installed in a home will measure the water pressure 240 times a second. This smart device uses A.I. and machine learning to analyze the water flow data to determine if any changes are a result of normal usage or if there may be a leak. The device can even detect pinhole leaks and frozen pipes.
The best thing about the device is that it alerts you through an app on your mobile device and SHUTS OFF your water.
It is not just a feel-good device. Homeowners who’ve experienced water damage first hand will tell you how excruciatingly painful and costly it is to repair water damage. Now A.I. and Wifi will help you vacation/sleep peacefully while Phyn Plus is at work.
There is another reason to think about devices like the Phyn Plus. You can save water which is precious and is in short supply. For your job, you should offer this device that is expected to cost of $850 plus and homeowners will thank you for this.
